who are we?
We are two sisters*, Soni & Rachel, with our husbands David & Randy. We have one Mission to . . .
live, love life, and enjoy laughter in
East Tennessee!
*Soni macy
The dreamer of our group, Soni has plans for Cyber Air Acres . . . We'll showcase some of her projects and photography.
Soni is also a leader of a small group of teens in a scout-type program called Pathfinders. She's had her group here to raise funds for an international camping trip.
David macy
When he is not trucking, Dave enjoys his soon to be fully equipped wood shop and a sawmill. A woodcraftsman in the making, he also manages most of our technology until that great retirement date comes. An ardent baseball fan, he recently participated in the Cubs Fantasy Baseball camp in Arizona
*Rachel terwillegar
A little older but just as full of adventure -- like getting married on the internet in the first-ever legal wedding. A retired fund raising professional Rachel spends her time creating things, like birdhouses and Picasso faces on trees. She also manages our Harvest Host site for guests.
randY terwillegar
A retired broadcast engineer, pilot and A&P mechanic, Randy is key in putting our dream together. Retired, he lends his expertise for many things. Next on our bucket list, a pond, a runway, a She Shed, and a zip line down to the shop (not necessarily in that order).
our place - Cyber air acres
For three floors the main house looks so very small. When you see the back side, you realize just how big it is. A third of it is underground with a walk out basement. Built in 1986 everything needed to be updated. The basement had never been finished, neither had the upstairs (Pent House).
The past year has been spent with an architect, designers, and craftsmen of all types building essentially a new house on the ground level, with its own entry and exit. It is no longer connected to the main floor with a stairwell.
All is now finished and its occupants are very happy with the design and function of their new space, an office, master bedroom, kitchen, dining room/living area, two bathrooms, a storage room, and a one car garage. No one is getting wet getting out of the ground floor flat, huh, Soni.
White House
Barn
Wish we knew exactly how old it is . . . think it may be from the 1800s. It will take some work to restore it. Family completely emptied it from collectibles of the previous owner. Twelve TVs finally made their way to the dump! We may replace the rotten timbers from the ground up and use this building, perhaps to dry wood from the sawmill.
The Work Shop
Getting the shop in order was a challenge. When we all moved onto the property things were taken to the shop until each area in the house was remodeled. Then, when it was time to work on the shop everything left there had to be moved out. After new electric outlets and lights were installed, foam insulation was blown in. The next job was installing drywall and framing office space. Now we are reducing the clutter in interest of finding things quickly. It's almost complete!
